The Smith Bradbeer Charitable Trust (Registered Charity #1060418) was established in 1997.  Income is derived from a percentage of trading profit donated annually by Smith Bradbeer & Co Ltd.

The over-arching objective of the Trust is the advancement of the Christian Faith through financial relief, support and intervention in circumstances that maximise opportunities for evangelism, teaching of the Christian Faith, and its ability to change lives. Grants are made to organisations and individuals that fulfil this objective rather than simply ‘social action’ projects with no opportunity for the teaching of the Christian Faith, or with no local connection.

Recipients generally have local contact with Churches in the Hampshire area or with existing Trustees, enabling the Trust to receive regular updates on the progress of projects and individuals being supported.  Missionary Aviation Fellowship, Southampton Asian Christian Fellowship, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Cinnamon Network, Scripture Union, Junction Church Eastleigh, Operation Mobilisation and Care & Relief for the Young are a handful of the local and national groups receiving regular support from the Trust.
