General

These are the Bradbeers Department Stores Terms and Conditions which apply to purchases made in our department stores, as well as use of our department store Website. For the avoidance of doubt, these Terms do not apply to our furniture stores. Please refer to our Furniture Stores Terms and Conditions if You are purchasing from our furniture stores.

Smith Bradbeer & Co Limited is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 00036724 with our registered office at 14 Bell Street, Romsey, Hampshire, SO51 8ZE.

You must read these Terms carefully prior to making a purchase or using our Website.  Acceptance of these Terms is necessary for a purchase to proceed.  By purchasing in store or by using our Website You hereby accept these Terms and agree to comply with them.

We reserve the right to alter or amend these Terms from time to time, so it is important that You check these Terms prior to using our Website, making a purchase in store, or generally engaging with us.  Any changes will take effect on the day they are posted on the Website.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Orders

All credit/debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Solo. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay. Prices include VAT at 20%.

The customer shall be responsible for determining that the goods sold and purchased are in accordance with the customer’s requirements and are fit for the customer’s purpose. The customer will also be held responsible for determining whether the dimensions of the goods are suitable.

Purchase of Age Restricted items

Under the Criminal Justice Act 1998, it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase Knives or Bladed Items if you are under the age of 18.

Under the Licensing Act 2003, it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase Alcoholic Liquor if you are under the age of 18. It is also an offence to purchase or attempt to buy liquor chocolates or delicacies under the age 16.

Cancellation

Cancellation for items that are specially ordered upon your request are at the discretion of Bradbeers and may incur any reasonable costs borne by the company.

Changes to the specification of original orders must be made out in writing and are not guaranteed

Returns

For any specially ordered, bespoke or made to measure items cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

Returns will take approximately 7 working days for processing once Bradbeers receive the goods in satisfactory condition.

You may return goods purchased to one of our stores. It does not have to be the branch from where you originally bought the item. You will be asked to provide proof of purchase (i.e. a receipt).

Due to hygiene reasons no return or exchange will be accepted on any filled products such as duvets, pillows and mattress toppers. Lingerie – it is our policy that we will not exchange or refund briefs, thongs or foundation wear with a gusset. This is for hygiene reasons.

If the product returned is not in fully re-saleable condition or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Products, Prices and Content

Prices and Specifications are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to alteration. E & EO.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the website match as closely as possible those of the actual products, due to technical limitations, some colours may vary. All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK vat at the current rate unless clearly stated.

Prices, product descriptions, images and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.

Any information displayed on our website or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice.

All information on our website is updated regularly. We reserve the right to alter our specifications without notice.

Gift Cards

Our gift cards can be purchased in any of our stores and shall have a redemption period of 24 months from the date of issue or last use.  You may redeem the value of your gift card in any of our stores provided it is within the 24-month period.  Any remaining balance will expire after this period.  Using the gift card, checking the balance or performing a top-up will reset the 24-month expiration period.

The gift card balance cannot be exchanged for cash or redeemed against the purchase of another gift card.  When making a purchase, any unused balance will remain on the card and no change will be given.

The maximum amount that a gift card can hold is £1000.  When purchasing a gift card, You may select any value up to the maximum to load on to it.

You can perform a balance enquiry or top-up your gift card in any of our stores.  Please speak to a member of staff to assist You with this.

We will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged cards.

These Terms supersede the Terms listed on the reverse of any gift cards issued.
